We offer disease outbreak assistance to agencies facing a potential disease outbreak at their facility.
Organizations looking for assistance with an outbreak will need to speak with one of our program veterinarians to discuss the potential outbreak and determine the best way our program can assist, which may involve shelter consultations and diagnostic testing. We specialize in canine and feline infectious diseases such as canine distemper virus (CDV), canine influenza virus (CIV), canine parvovirus, feline panleukopenia, and ringworm. After speaking with one of our veterinarians, a plan will be drafted that best suits the needs of your organization and the animals in your care. If diagnostic testing is recommended, our veterinary team will guide you in determining which animals to sample and when, in order to best control the outbreak within the means of your organization. We have developed a partnership with Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Lab to make disease surveillance more accessible for shelters by providing a significant discount to animal shelters that submit through our program.
